You may have seen the video of Paula White, Donald Trump’s ‘spiritual advisor,’ praying for a Trump victory in the US election. If you haven’t seen the clip, it’s quite remarkable, and worth a look if only to expand your horizons to see a level of crazy that I didn’t know existed. (And check White’s Wikipedia entry to understand her affinity with Trump.) White repeats over and over the word ‘strike’ while waving her arm as if she has a club and is beating something – or maybe someone? She also ‘speaks in tongues.’
It was strange to see her provocative off-the-shoulder outfit – aren’t Christian wives supposed to be demure? Others have noted that her claim that angels were coming from Africa didn’t exactly match Trump’s rejection of immigrants from those ‘shithole countries.’ Critics have pointed out that those angels would likely be put into cages by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE).
But I haven’t seen any explanation so far for the appearance of a man walking nonchalantly to and fro behind her, reading a magazine, and carrying what looks like a white towel over his arm. Now, thanks to my sources, I can reveal that it was not a towel. It was a white coat. The man was escorting White on a day release. He’s encouraged to appear in plain clothes, to help inmates integrate back into normal society. It’s obvious that that White has a long way to go.
