My latest letter to the Toronto Star

It wasn’t published, but you can read it here!

Background to the letter.  The Ontario Premier Doug Ford shuffled the provincial cabinet after barely a year in power.  Actually, not just a shuffle, but also an increase in the number of ministers.

Re Radical Reboot, June 21

I assume it’s just a coincidence that the Ontario cabinet increased from 21 to 28 members in the reshuffle.  These are almost exactly the same numbers as the increase in average high school class sizes from 22 to 28.

I doubt if Doug Ford wants to remind us that teachers’ workloads are being substantially increased, while his team of 21 so-called ‘all-stars’ are so lazy or so incompetent that they need an extra seven ministers – and lots of the people’s tax dollars – to run Ontario.
